Hershel Walker Debate

 A SAD AND TRAGIC DAY IN GEORGIA 

This is not about POLITICS, it’s human story about BRAIN DAMAGE. A “debate” is scheduled for this Friday between Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker. And it will be a sad and tragic day in Georgia.

If you’ve walked a mile in our shoes, you would clearly see just how unfortunate this situation actually is. For us it’s crystal clear. From our perspective, Herschel Walker has significant brain damage from his years of playing football, a collision sport. It’s very likely he has the degenerative disease CTE, Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. Over the course of his 21 year football career he received tens of thousands of sub-concussive and concussive “hits” to his head through hitting other players and hitting the ground. Those “hits” take a toll and set the stage for the progressive and degenerative disease called CTE. And sadly we see the result “on parade”. This man is not capable of participating in a meaningful debate. This is sad because we should know better than to allow this to happen. We imagine his handlers just told him “You just be Herschel, we’ll take care of everything else. Don’t you worry about a thing”. Now this poor soul is hung out to dry.

Today the news commentators roll their eyes and marvel at the spectacle, and the comedians rip and tear, and gleefully rub their hands together with each new episode in front of an open mic. Ratings will skyrocket on Friday evening as the climactic event draws near. We’re talking real money here, and sadly an insatiable appetite for this kind of thing.

We have witnessed first hand how the CTE brain unwires, and is no longer capable of logical or rational thought, and you have seen it too in train wreck after train wreck. (OJ Simpson comes to mind, Mike Webster, Junior Seau, Aaron Hernandez, Jovan Belcher and the list is very long if we think about it) We are saddened by the inhumanity of this spectacle.

IN FACT WE SHOULD BOYCOT THIS DEBATE! BUT WE WONT, JUST LIKE WE DON’T BOYCOT THE SPORTS THAT DESTROY OTHERWISE HEALTHY BRAINS. Fact: WE LOVE THIS STUFF.

Regardless of your party affiliation, or your stand on this issue ,or that, please take a moment to consider the tragic mistake which has been made here, and pity the victims. Herschel and his family (families) and his admirers, and his fans will only be hurt by this exercise in futility. Even if he wins this election, and he may, the big looser here will be all of us. This country needs to be managed and governed by people who possess intact brains. Sadly in our opinion Walker does not fit in that category, He needs love and care by trusted allies who are actually concerned with HIS well-being, because we know for those with CTE it’s very likely tomorrow will be worse for him, and Friday will just be sad. Herschel needs care, not exploitation.
